15 Mbps for FHD, 25 for 4K, 50 for 8K. Ethernet beats Wi-Fi; 5 GHz Wi-Fi beats 2.4 GHz. Run a speed test on the device itself, not on your phone.
That is genuinely all it takes. If anything looks different on your screen, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will talk you through it live.
Fire TV Stick, 4K, 4K Max and Fire TV Cube
From the Fire TV home screen go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options, then turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. On newer sticks the menu is called About — click the device name seven times first to reveal Developer options.
Go back to the home screen, open the search icon, type Downloader and install the orange app by AFTVnews. Open it once and accept the storage permission it asks for.
In Downloader's URL box type the link we send you with your line (it points to the current IPTV Smarters or TiviMate build). Press Go, wait for the download, then choose Install and Open.
Choose Login with Xtream Codes API, then enter: any name you like, your username, your password and the server URL exactly as we sent them — no spaces, no http:// typed twice.
The first load takes 30–90 seconds because it pulls 55,000 channels and the full VOD library. After that it is instant. Open Live TV and pick a channel.
Tizen, webOS and Android TV models
Samsung: Smart Hub. LG: LG Content Store. Sony/Philips: Google Play Store. Search for Smart IPTV, IPTV Smarters Pro or Set IPTV and install one of them.
Open the app — it shows a MAC address like 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX on the first screen. Photograph it. This is how the playlist gets attached to your TV.
Send that MAC on WhatsApp and we upload your Tivo 8K playlist to it directly. You do not have to type anything else on the TV — a huge relief with a TV remote.
If you installed IPTV Smarters Pro instead, choose Login with Xtream Codes API and type your username, password and server URL using the on-screen keyboard.
Close the app completely and reopen it. The channel list loads, sorted by category, with the EPG guide filled in.
Nvidia Shield, Xiaomi, Chromecast with Google TV, any Android box
Search for IPTV Smarters Pro (simplest) or TiviMate (best experience on a TV box). Both are free to install; TiviMate's premium unlock is optional.
Open the app, tap Add user → Login with Xtream Codes API, then enter the username, password and server URL from your activation message.
Prefer one link? Choose Load your playlist or file/URL and paste the M3U we sent. Tip: send it to yourself on WhatsApp Web and copy it on the device — far faster than typing.
In the player's settings set the decoder to Hardware or HW+. This is what makes 4K and 8K streams play smoothly on cheaper boxes.
Open Live TV, Movies or Series. Long-press any channel to add it to Favourites so your daily channels sit at the top.
iOS 14+ and tvOS 15+
From the App Store install Smarters Player Lite, IPTV Smarters Player or GSE Smart IPTV. On Apple TV, search the same names in the tvOS App Store.
Open the app and choose Xtream Codes API. Enter a name, your username, your password and the server URL. On Apple TV you can type using the Apple TV Remote app on your iPhone — much quicker.
iOS asks for local network permission on first launch. Say yes, otherwise the playlist will appear empty even though the login worked.
In settings, switch the player from Auto to Hardware. On older iPads, dropping to FHD instead of 4K also helps considerably.
The full catalogue is now on your device. AirPlay to a TV works normally from within the player.
MAG 254, 256, 322, 324, 349, 420, 424, 524
It is printed on the sticker underneath the box and also shown in Settings → System Settings → Device Info. Send it on WhatsApp — we register it on our portal before you touch anything.
On the box go to Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals.
Set Portal 1 name to “Tivo 8K” and Portal 1 URL to the portal address we sent you. Leave Portal 2 empty.
Press OK, then EXIT, and restart the box from the menu (or pull the power for five seconds).
After the reboot the Tivo 8K portal appears with your channels, VOD and EPG already in place. Nothing else to enter.
Dreambox, Zgemma, Vu+, Octagon and similar
On the box: Menu → Setup → Network → Device Setup. Write the IP down, e.g. 192.168.1.42.
From a computer on the same network, open PuTTY (Windows) or Terminal (Mac) and connect to that IP on port 22. The default login is usually root with no password or dreambox.
Paste the one-line install command we send with your subscription and press Enter. It downloads your personal bouquet file and installs it in the right folder for your image.
The script reloads services automatically. If it does not, go to Menu → Standby / Restart → Restart GUI.
Press the blue button or the bouquet list key and select Tivo 8K. All categories appear as separate bouquets, EPG included.
VLC, MyIPTV Player, IPTV Smarters desktop
VLC is free and already on most computers. For a proper TV-style interface with categories and EPG, install IPTV Smarters for Windows or MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store instead.
In VLC: Media → Open Network Stream (or Ctrl + N). On macOS: File → Open Network.
Paste the full M3U URL we sent, then press Play. VLC loads the whole playlist as a list of media items.
Press Ctrl + L (Windows) or ⌘ + Alt + P (Mac) to open the playlist panel, then double-click any channel.
In IPTV Smarters desktop, choose Login with Xtream Codes API and enter your username, password and server URL — you get categories, favourites, VOD posters and the EPG grid.
Roku Stick, Roku TV, Chromecast (all generations)
Roku does not allow sideloading, so use a store channel that accepts M3U or Xtream logins — search the Roku Channel Store for IPTV Stream Player or XCIPTV and add it.
Open the channel, choose the Xtream Codes or M3U option and enter the details from your activation message.
Alternative: on Roku enable Settings → System → Screen mirroring, then mirror an Android phone running IPTV Smarters. Quality depends on your Wi-Fi.
On a Chromecast with Google TV, simply install IPTV Smarters or TiviMate from Google Play — it is Android TV, so it works natively. On older Chromecasts, open IPTV Smarters on your phone, play a channel and tap the Cast icon.
When casting from a phone, disable auto-lock while watching — a locked screen stops some casts mid-stream.
Work through these in order. Nine times out of ten the answer is in the first three.
Almost always a typing issue. Check for a capital letter turned lowercase, a stray space at the end, a zero typed as the letter O, and that the server URL includes the port number exactly as we sent it. Copy and paste it instead of typing if you can — then send us a screenshot and we will verify the line on our side within minutes.
Test in this order: switch the player's decoder to Hardware; connect the device by Ethernet or move to 5 GHz Wi-Fi; clear the app's cache; try a different channel in the same category. If one specific channel buffers while others are perfect, it is that source, not your line — tell us the channel name and we will switch you to a different feed for it.
This usually means your ISP is throttling or blocking certain streaming ports. A VPN on the device (or on the router) resolves it immediately. Ask us and we will confirm whether your country is one of the ones where this is common.
Give it up to an hour after first login — the guide downloads separately from the channel list. If it is still blank, set the EPG time offset and time zone in the player's settings, then force a refresh from the app menu.
No. The same line works on any device; just enter it in the new app. If you use a MAG or Enigma2 box locked to a MAC address, send us the new MAC and we move it across free of charge.
